PREPARING THE BASE
A LEVEL solid base must be provided by the customer for the shed to be erected on. Ideal a concrete or paving slabs base, no larger than the size of the shed, also railway sleepers or a timber frame can be used. Timbers must be levelled and placed evenly over the length of the shed, please check for the joint measurements if the floor has more than one section. Large buildings with no floor require a concrete slab or plinth to assemble the building on to.
We screw the panels together with galvanized screw, the corner strips and windows strips are nailed in place, the felt is attached with staples which we use a staple gun, silicone is used on the corners and around the glass.
If the shed is delivery only, no fixing kit is supplied with the shed.
All building with exception of Cabins, are supplied with a water based preservative treatment, once the building has been erected, a solvent or oil based (water repellent) treatment is required for water proofing the building. We recommend that the building is treated annually for water protection.
Please notify us if there is a problem with access to the property or if the building has to be carried a long distance (more than 30m) or up more than 15 steps. This will require extra time and an additional cost will be charged to the erection service. Assistance may be required to our fitters to enable them to get the building to site. Items that are ‘delivery only’, it will be delivered to the driveway or place by side of house, not carried to base site.
Please Note: Most buildings will NOT fit through a house or archways. Please Check!
